You will receive two stem cuttings around 8 - 10 inches with branching and all leaves left in tact. All parts of this plant will root and reproduce separately! That means you can cut the stem into smaller segments (need at least two nodes, or an active growth tip per cut) and root each leaf individually if you care to. We actually recommend leaving the topmost set of leaves on each stem cuttings you root, then rooting the rest of the leaves individually. Be sure to break or cut the leaf off flush with the stem, retaining as much of the petiole as possible.

Cuttings will be taken fresh per order.

Cuttings will be treated with rooting hormone.

We recommend rooting these in a well draining soil mix (we use 50/50 perlite to peat moss) over a seed germination heat mat, or in a warm window or greenhouse. They need humidity while rooting and while small. A large enough clear Tupperware type tote works well. Cuttings usually root within about 2 weeks in these conditions. They can take longer if conditions are less than optimal but be patient! As long as it’s still green and hasn’t dried up and died, it can still throw roots and grow.
